E-Design The Final (3) Jan 10th, 2012

We have been given the project of taking 3-5 images that we own that could use some touch ups to make them look nice. To complete the final you have to upload the beginning and end product of the pictures to show and explain how we touched up the images.

Original.
This picture was pretty well taken considering it was takin in 1997. There wasn't much to fix other then the lighting and the contrast.

Final.
All I pretty much did was changed the contrast and the brightness.
I already gave this picture to my brother because he was my grandfathers #1 fan. My grandfather passed away in early 2010 so my brother really misses him. He has already put this picture on facebook and has already had some responses from the family.

E-Design The Final (2) Jan 10th, 2012

We have been given the project of taking 3-5 images that we own that could use some touch ups to make them look nice. To complete the final you have to upload the beginning and end product of the pictures to show and explain how we touched up the images.

Original.
This was a very recent photo, I believe in July. So the quality was pretty good to begin with, but there were some spots on my pants, my cousins shirt and on the walls.

Final.
I sharpened up the white spots while pulling some of the bright red feel out of my brothers shirt. That pulls your eyes away from the shirt to focus on the photo as a whole. I made is somewhat darker around our bodies, but the final outcome has some decent quality's to it.
I'm giving this picture to my refrigerator only because that is the original resting place of this picture. My cousin went off to college last year and my brother goes to college next year so there time it limited to do things we would normally do together.

We have been given the project of taking 3-5 images that we own that could use some touch ups to make them look nice. To complete the final you have to upload the beginning and end product of the pictures to show and explain how we touched up the images.

Original.
Notice all the white spots on the lefts, the shirts and the faces. Also notice virbance of the photo as it is very dull. I wanted to remove those white dots as well as made some of the red stick out more, while adding a deeper color to the whole photo.

Final.
Here I removed most of the brightness, and then changed the vibrance and the tone of the photo to make it have a more real touch. Also, the ceiling is no longer yellow its the original white. This photo came out super clear which is what I wanted in the first place. I patched all the white spots on the face shirts, but I also touched up my brothers leg. He was sun burnt on this trip as you can tell in the original photo by looking at this left leg. I used one of the burning tools to remove it, but I ended using the sharpen tool. I like the end result much better then the original one because it has that 2011/2012 photo quality to it, rather then the 2001 photo quality to it.
I gave this picture to my mother because she loves the cape cod and she also loves this picture. She just recently found this picture in November and she wanted it on the computer to save if she lost it. Now she has it.

E-Design Favorite Things 12 Dec 19th, 2011

In this project we were to think of some of our favorite things, from food, items, location or people. In this project, I only had a few things, but these things makes me happy. For a background I chose a large multi-red colored background with the Boston Res Sox emblem in the center. To the right I had a baseball, which represents my favorite sport, as the Red Sox is my favorite sports team. Bellow that I have a basketball which is a sport I like to watch because it is always action packed, and is always fun to watch. Over lapping the the basketball in the bottum in the STEAM logo, which is an online gaming platform that hosts my favorite games of all time, Counter-Strike. I have been playing CS sense 2002. The last CSS game to be released was Counter-Strike: Source in 2004, but in 2011 VALVe announced CSGO, Counter-Strike Global Offensive which is the newest installment of the CS franchise. CSGO is currently in a closed beta stage with a limited amount of users partaking in the beta. I am fortunate enough to have a beta key, and to be the only person is Vermont with a CSGO beta key. The beta was released on the 30th or November. Now, its December 19th and I'm still playing the game. Its a great game, anyway. On the image I included the LA Lakers logo because they are my favorite basketball team. Over lapping the Red Sox emblem I have the outline of Vermont with the text "VERMONT" along the side of it. Lastly, I added a pizza along with a pizza hut logo, as I hate pizza, but I will never deny a pizza from pizza hut. As for my last addition, I have my blog banner at the top of this image. I don't really enjoy blogging, but I enjoy photoshop. I have downloaded the free trial of photoshop that expires christmas day, but I was told I would be getting a key for photoshop for christmas, buts that not big deal :/

E-Design Random Five 11 Dec 5th, 2011

This was a fun project, we were told to have a friend list off five things to merge into on photo. I was partnered with 2 people. Jack N and Dylan B. I had Jack do Kobe Shoes, a steak, include a football, a picture of David Ortiz up to bat and a bulldog. I had Dylan do Blake Griffen, a golf ball, Madison Square Garden, a football and batman. Jake had me do iPods, iTunes, an old Ford, the desert and pineapples. I put the iTunes logo ontop of the sun so it gives off a lighting effect, and then made the iPods outer space / the sky above the desert. Then I removed the wheels on the truck to replace them with the pineapples. This was a great project that really made me think about how to combine different images into something comical. That was what I was going for, a comical out look. They all came out nice.

E-Design SelfPhoto 10 Nov 29th, 2011

In this project we left the classroom in partners and took photos of ourselves while directing our own photo. In this photo we had Dave shooting while Jack was trying to capture Dave in the air shooting, while I was on the ground failing at defending. For this picture to be mine I had Dave gray out the areas that I am not in, do make me stand out more. This isn't great, but I like it. I added my name on the bottom using some text effects. There wasn't much I planed on doing with this, as I don't really like taking photos.
